In the centre of the house was Max. Next to him was a bird, a stove and an oven mitt. Besides that there were just the walls of the house. So the four of them sat there for a while. It was the middle of the night so Max, as well as the bird were fast asleep. They were all quite motionless. Max had three neighbours. There were another three houses next to his. All four houses were arranged in a row. There was one road in front of all four houses, and each house had a driveway. I can’t remember if the driveways began at the houses to connect to the road, or if they began at the road to connect to the houses.
